The Musubi Press that I love

I am lucky that my kids are good students in school. They are respectful and work really hard to do well on projects and assignments. In fact, I get to hear constantly how they are helpful with other students - like little teachers. #2's teacher even cried during his kindergarten parent conference because she was so proud of the way that he helped another challenged student. Ok...enough proud mommy stuff.

My only issue with the boys deals with lunchtime. I never thought of them as picky eaters (I mean, they don't like veggies, but that's normal. And eventually they eat them anyways.) But I always worry that #2 will skip lunch because he doesn't like what there is to buy or he is allergic or he doesn't like what I packed or he forgot. (Very sweet but a little, you know, forgetful sometimes)

I have found my solution - The Musubi Press. It is a little mold that allows me to make spam mushi island style. I am so pumped on this little device... seriously, I know that if I pack spam musubi (or any other type of meat or even veggie) they will eat it.

I even stole a can of spam from sissy's house and made some just so I could post some pictures here.

Please enjoy the musubi.

Temecula Wine Tour

Summer vacation is now coming to a close. What a blessing to have time with the kids to play and get to know each other a little better. I personally learned about Bakugan and Pokemon. I had the opportunity to watch the boys play in the pool ( a lot) and go to the dojo or trumpet lessons.

I also had time to spend with great friends all summer long. One sunny Sunday, I took a limo up to the Temecula wineries and spent some quality time with the girls just drink wine, eating, laughing and (sort of) dancing - I don't know if dancing in the limo on the way home counts as 'going dancing' but it sure was fun.

The play list was diverse, the company exceptional, and scenery beautiful. Plus the wine was delicious. Thanks ladies for a wonderful memory to add to this year's summer vacation.

It's been fun...

Every summer, our family has enjoyed spending time near the water. I am so glad that all three boys are growing up with a love and appreciation for what the ocean gives. Pool, bay, fishing, sand... you name it, they love it. One of the favorites is jet skiing at Mission bay. This is more than a pastime, it is am opportunity for friends and family to come together and simply celebrate life.

Recently, Hubby and I decided that it was time to let things go. Owning a boat and two jet skis is unrealistic. We can only play with one toy at a time, and the boat is a bit more baby friendly. So... one craigslist listing later... we are down 3 three tres registrations for the year.

Bye, bye Yoda and Jedi. It's been fun.
